Refill Instructions for Refilling Xerox 8R12728, 8R7971, 8R7972, 8R7973, 8R7974, Y100, Y101, Y102, Y103, H100 Cartridges

PLEASE NOTE: If you have tried printing with your cartridge completely out of ink, you may have damaged the printhead. Inkjet printers work by heating a resistor inside the printhead which heats the ink before it is sprayed onto the paper. If there is no ink to keep the resistors cool, you stand the chance of frying them.

Always refill before you are completely out of ink.

Instructions:
Important: Wear old clothes and work over newspapers or paper towels.

1. Drill a hole in the ink reservoir where shown.
2. Screw a needle on to the syringe and draw about 4ml of color ink or 8ml of black ink. Make sure and use a different syringe for each color. Inject the ink until the chamber is almost full.
3. Tape over the hole when finished.

Replace the cartridge and run 1-3 cleaning cycles as per printer instructions.

If necessary, leave the cartridge in the printer for up to 24 hours.

A Refill Kit should include Ink plus the following:
1 Syringe/Blunt Needle per color
1 Thumb Drill
Aluminum Tape
